Vintage Fortified

A cooler year in 2011 gave us the opportunity to make a 'Late Bottled Vintage' style of fortified with a lighter, sweeter palate than our usual 'VPs'. With bright red fruit and soft tannins, this is one to enjoy now with both main meals such as a slow roast casserole and of course, chocolate desserts or cheese. Rich raspberry jam and notes of almond nuttiness on the palate are complemented by very soft tannins and a warming spirit finish. It's an excellent wine for people who like a sweet, soft red but with a smooth warming palate from the fortification process. 

Varieties: Tinta Roriz, Shiraz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão. 
Alc: 17.8%, 10.5 standard drinks (750ml)
