Ruston Prescott

Vineyard Manager

As a third-generation viticulturist, Ruston has a natural passion and interest for the vine having grown up in the beautiful King Valley. Graduating from The University of Melbourne at the top of his class, he has since worked in the wine industry for 15 years. After gaining extensive experience at Voyager Estate in Margaret River and Levantine Hill in Yarra Valley, Ruston joined the team at Stanton and Killeen in December, 2013. With passion and hard work in abundance, a hands-on approach and an intimate understanding of the balance between vine and nature, Ruston's uncompromising approach to grape growing will ensure that S&K continue to produce some of the best wines in the Rutherglen region. Responsible for the Viticultural Management across the estate, Ruston aims to maintain the utmost fruit quality and optimal character of the terroir for each varietal to match the highest standards for wines carrying the Stanton and Killeen name.

“I look forward to the opportunity to not only to work with some of the oldest commercial vines grown in Australia but to also have the privilege to introduce new vineyard techniques with a focus on sustainable viticulture and excellence"
