Tastes of Rutherglen in March is one of the best events on the calendar for foodies, wine buffs and people looking for a relaxed, fun time. Leisurely roam the region and enjoy a restaurant quality meal matched to wine whilst enjoying entertainment and masterclasses at participating wineries.
For Tastes of Rutherglen 2015 we partnered with Carlos Saliba from Café Victor in Albury and we were quick to invite him back for Tastes of Rutherglen in 2016. His food is fresh and creative, buzzing with flavour and a real treat to enjoy with family and friends over this fantastic weekend which showcases the best of the North East region.
As well as two spectacular meals matched with our latest releases, we are delighted to have Southbound, a local vocal/guitar duo that will get your feet tapping amongst our beautiful garden setting.
The structure of the event has been improved with more flexible options for visitors as well as looking after our designated drivers. Meal tickets are now seperate to the admission ticket which means you can taste your way around as many wineries as you want as your weekend unfolds. There's a huge range of delicious food, wine and entertainment around the region catering for all interest and palates!
At Stanton and Killeen you can enjoy...

Sunday 13th March, 2016:

Indulge in a flight of four artisan cheeses matched with S&K fortifieds hosted by Wendy Killeen and Laura Lown, Head Cheesemonger at Milk the Cow. For many people familiar with Lygon Street and Fitzroy Street in Melbourne, you may have come across Milk the Cow, a wine and cheese bar that features over 150 cheeses from around the world. It's a great place to drop in for a drink and chat with friends. Wendy Killeen hosted a fortified wine and cheese tasting with Milk the Cow in Melbourne in October and it was a such a hit that we wanted to offer this masterclass again. Sitting amongst the barrels in the winery, watching the winemaking action happen in the background, it will be a relaxing and indulgent way to learn more about how cheese and fortifieds wine are made and what to look for when creating your own platter at home.
Two masterclasses will be held on both Saturday and Sunday at 11am and 3pm. $35 per head and bookings are essential. Leave your details via Contact Us or call Ros on (02) 6032 9457 or buy online via Eventbrite to ensure you don't miss out.
