Quinta Quarterly Summer 2019

Friday, November 22, 2019

Another year is drawing to a close with the characteristic mix of challenges and triumphs from growing a product of the land. Which varieties do we grow?

Tuesday, February 05, 2019

It would be an amazing (if not improbable) feat to remember all 1,368 varieties listed in the comprehensive bible of ‘Wine Grapes’ by Robinson, Harding & Vouillamoz (2012). Even to narrow it down further to the 130 varieties grown in Australia that James Halliday writes about in ‘Varietal Wines’ (2015) would be quite impressive. Continue reading...

It is already the case for 11 sensitive GIs (Geographical Indicators) that Australian winemakers once used to describe their wine styles, including Port, Sherry, Champagne and Burgundy. Continue reading...

This week we said goodbye to Ros, who has been with Stanton & Killeen for over 23 years.
