With Natasha on maternity leave, the task of writing the front page of our newsletter has been handed to me. I pondered for sometime on a theme before I decided that an update of our new releases would be fitting as we have just bottled several wines from the 2018 vintage. Continue reading...

Winter Quinta Quarterly

Sunday, May 27, 2018

Did you know that by 2020, the word tokay will disappear from Australian wine labels, websites and all marketing material? We won’t even be able to write that Topaque was “previously known as Tokay”. It is already the case for 11 sensitive GIs (Geographical Indicators) that Australian winemakers once used to describe their wine styles, including Port, Sherry, Champagne and Burgundy. Continue reading...

Summer Quinta Quarterly

For many, the summer holidays are a time of slowing down and recharging, but for us, it’s when we start the hustle and haul of making wine. Almost 100 years later, and after much patience and care in rejuvenating this very old vineyard, we have released one of our most special wines, the 2016 Jack’s Block Shiraz. Continue reading...

The Return of Jack's Block?

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Wine lovers young and old have been pleading with us to know when the next Jack’s Block Shiraz will be released. If we had a dollar for every time someone asked us this, well…we wouldn’t need to be winemakers to say the least. Not since 2008 have we bottled this iconic drop, made using fruit from fourth generation Jack Stanton’s vineyard planted in 1921.  Continue reading...
