When Jack Stanton planted a block of Shiraz in 1921, it was only a few years after he had returned from war and Australia was greeting the new decade with cautious optimism. With the help of his father - third generation winemaker John Richard Stanton -Jack established his own winery not far from the original Stanton property. Almost 100 years later, and after much patience and care in rejuvenating this very old vineyard, we have released one of our most special wines, the 2016 Jack’s Block Shiraz. Continue reading...

When writing the Quinta Quarterly, the Winter edition always feels like it comes around the fastest. Weren’t we just celebrating Australia Day? Summer Quinta Quarterly

For the second year in a row, we’ve been shortlisted for the Australian Wine Producer of the Year Trophy at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. To be recognised for consistent quality is a great way to finish 2016, and a what a year it’s been. The weather has been superb and if it stays relatively dry and mild, the 2017 vintage will be another standout (my fingers are crossed as I’ve put my hand up again to be the cellar hand). Continue reading...

Wine lovers young and old have been pleading with us to know when the next Jack’s Block Shiraz will be released. If we had a dollar for every time someone asked us this, well…we wouldn’t need to be winemakers to say the least.
