For the second year in a row, we’ve been shortlisted for the Australian Wine Producer of the Year Trophy at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. To be recognised for consistent quality is a great way to finish 2016, and a what a year it’s been. The weather has been superb and if it stays relatively dry and mild, the 2017 vintage will be another standout (my fingers are crossed as I’ve put my hand up again to be the cellar hand).
We had a great day at our recent Jack’s Block Lunch and were very proud to showcase our 2016 wines. The Jack’s Block Shiraz was a favourite so if you would like to secure your allocation before next year’s release, please contact us (see back page) with your details and desired amount. It’s sure to be another sell out so we recommend getting in early.
If you love something different and exciting, we’re releasing two new (as yet unnamed) 2016 wines in the coming March Quinta Quarterly. Both are made from our Portuguese varieties and are a great expression of our vineyards. Release dates for our other 2016 wines are yet to be determined but the Durif will be later next year. It’s a big, brooding, traditional style and will need some time in the bottle until we can unleash this beast.
In the meantime, why not try our new 2013 Vintage Fortified? With juicy ripe fruit and savoury tannins it’s sure to be a winner with Christmas pudding. Certainly it’s been a fun year and we’ve been buoyed by your positive feedback. We hope you enjoy the holidays and the new year, and we look forward to seeing you in Rutherglen.
Our Moscato and Rosé have been a hit lately so we thought what better time to offer two great six pack offers? The weather is warm and catch-ups over an antipasto platter is made better with a crisp glass of refreshing white or rosé. And with Christmas Day madness approaching, we've made it easy with a great mixed pack of some of our favourite wines. Read more...
