In March, Georg Riedel from the world renowned premium glass manufacturer, Riedel Wine Glass Company, visited Rutherglen on the quest to find the perfect glass for one of Australia’s iconic wine styles- muscat. Having tasted some of what this region has to offer in 14 different glasses, the search was narrowed to three. There are six different Rutherglen wineries participating in the search.  By visiting the cellar doors of All Saints, Campbells, Morris, Pfeiffer, Rutherglen Estates and Stanton and Killeen, you can taste our muscats from the three glasses and choose for yourself which offers the best tasting experience in regards to aromatics, flavour and perception. Continue reading...

As many of you will have noticed, 2013 was big year of change for S&K. We started the redesign process of our labels in January with John Jewel Design in Albury and they are finalising our new website as I write this. The new branding is a reflection of who we are historically by using a similar colour palette and styling to our old labels in the 70s and 80s, but also to represent a sense of place and the physicality of our winery. We are traditional, family-orientated and a little rustic so weren't looking to be anything we’re not. We are now focusing on becoming entirely estate grown and made and plating to our strenghts and region. Sorry to the Savvy Blanc and Pinot drinkers!
