The S&K team were proud and excited to receive a double win at the Association of Australian Boutique Winemakers annual 09 Boutique Wines awards held in Sydney this month. It was a particularly special win as the trophy for best Fortified Wine of Show is named after the late Chris Killeen as a tribute to his contribution to the Australian fortified industry and his support of the Boutique Wine Association now in their fourteenth year. The winning wine, the Stanton & Killeen Grand Muscat then went on to receive the AABW trophy for the best grown and produced wine of show.

Chris's widow Ann Killeen was in attendance at the award dinner held at the Marriot hotel to receive the trophies from well known wine writer and the chief judge of the show Huon Hooke. The Boutique wine awards are open to wineries that crush less than 250 tonnes of grapes per year.
