Where else to be on the June Queens Birthday weekend than Stanton & Killeen Wines. George McFloyd Blues Band rocked the crowd on Saturday and Sunday serving up a mix of Blues favourites to a wide group of fans ranging in ages from three to some very lively octogenerians. As usual the party goers were out in force with some fantastic costumes adding to the great mood on the day. Batman strutted his stuff with Wonder Woman on the dance floor and staff were kept busy handing out prizes for best costumes never an easy task. The reserve tasting area is proving to be extremely popular with visitors wishing to meet the winemaker and gives the option to taste premium and back vintage wines in a quiet relaxed area away from revellers. This year we were blessed with two fine sunny days and the well behaved crowd spread out in the park surrounds enjoying the music and tastings accompanied by Andrew Withers famous Italian Flatbread Piadine & Dutch Pancakes. Beware of imitations! The Rotary hole in one golf competition saw two winners with two lucky people taking home a barrel of Stanton and Killeen Muscat. Thank you to everyone who attended the weekend and dare we say it - made it enjoyable for the staff.
