Tasting Notes:
|
Yet another classic Stanton and Killeen vintage fortified that already boasts eight gold medals. Six different varieties were picked and fermented separately before being assessed and judiciously blended. The bouquet shows blackberries and cherries with a wonderful spirit integration. More berries on the palate together with plums, spice and white pepper are rounded out with gentle chalky tannins. Typically this wine has the fruit and structure for along life ahead but is already a beautiful drink. A challenge for us all to keep our hands off it for another twenty plus years! |
